Thanks to Officer Don for coordinating a birthday parade for a student who tragically lost their house this week to a fire in Fountain. Thanks to Fountain PD, Fountain Fire, Colorado State Patrol, Security Fire, Stratmoor Hills Fire and DoubleTree Hotel for helping support this memorable event for a special 7 year old.

The City of Fountain Public Safety Department stands in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
On this day 19 years ago, it didn’t matter what your race was or what your beliefs were, all that mattered was that our precious country was under attack.
Americans stood TOGETHER, cried TOGETHER and fought TOGETHER in order to save as many lives as they could that day.
Many that weren’t in the battle zone watched TOGETHER and prayed TOGETHER for OUR COUNTRY!
We will never forget 9-11-2001 and we hope, and pray, OUR COUNTRY can come TOGETHER again to overcome the struggles we now face.

Thank you to all of our guest readers today to include various departments and community members in Fountain and on Fort Carson. Readers shared the importance of reading in their lives and jobs. Great way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday!

Blue Santa Fills the Helmet was a huge success today. With the help of lots of volunteers, and a lot of hard work, we were able to provide gifts to over 300 children and serve a holiday meal to their entire family. Children got to spend time with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, and even the Grinch!
Thank you all of our volunteers and generous donors!!
